SECTION 8GUY DAVID MARTIN (1964 - ) SPOUSE: IRENA NENADIC Guy David Martin, the only child of Vivian Bryan Guy Martin and Beryl Lewis was born on the 27 May 1964 in Stepping Hill Hospital, Hazel Grove Nr. Stockport, whilst his parents lived at 20 Keswick Road, High Lane, Cheshire. He was baptised at St Thomas's Church, High Lane on 12 July 1964 . His Godparents were Bob and Mary Ashworth and Ian Magowan. He married Irena Nenadic on the 7th July 2006 at the Chinley Register office.
The family moved to White House Farm, Torkington Road, Hazel Grove when he was about 5 years old and he attended school just down the road. He later passed the entrance examination for Cheadle Hulme School (Warehousemen & Clerks). Another home move to "Willshaw", Whitehough, Chinley in Derbyshire and after leaving school he started work at Coles Morton Marine, a canal boat hire firm at Whaley Bridge - he had worked there at weekends - he also worked for a short period for a fencing company whilst the Chapel en le Frith to Whaley Bridge bypass was built, part of it through the land of "Willshaw"! He then started at Volcrepe Ltd., a foam rubber company in Glossop, currently in 1996 being employed as a moulder and is the president of the local branch of the GMB union. He also ran, in his spare time a second hand record, CD and tape business, attending record fairs and also supplying items by mail order and through the Internet, on the closure of Volcrepe he set up his own company, GDM Music, with an online catalogue and eBay shop. He has worked his way through a range of cars, Fiat 600, Fiat 127, Capri's & a Mazda van, and had bought his father's ex-company car, a 2.9l Ford Sierra 4x4, and a Subaru Impretza, and now a Transit van. He has his own company GDM Music selling records, CDs DVD's etc from an office in Chapel-en-le-Frith He, at present, is the last direct male descendant of the Martin line from James Martin as all of the other descendants have either produced no male heirs or have remained single.
